Thank you so much! I was looking at either the Cosmos 1000 or S versions and was torn between the two. This article helped me choose. I'm going to get the Cosmos 1000 case. Thanks again for the review!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback Yuri. Here are some additional facts since I wrote the article.

My brother owned the S for about 6 months, modified it to his liking using water cooling, custom paint job (pictures can be found here http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn260/drfouad/WC%20Cosmos%20S%20Project/?start=0) etc. He just ended up selling it and moving back to the Cosmos 1000 special edition.

The reasoning being there wasn't enough sound padding on the S. Even though the S was water cooled he felt the 1000 was a much quieter beast. His new machine can be found at this link: http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-work-logs/538836-completed-cosmos-pantherh2o-2.html

For my own personal story I sold my desktop last year and just rebuilt a new one again last month, and my choice without a doubt was still the Cosmos 1000. But at the end of the day everybody has different requirements, and if you think the S fulfills those requirements better, then that's what its going to be I guess.

Hey.. nice review! With so many common review site saying how much better the Cosmos S over the previous 1000 model, I was thinking of getting the S instead.

Your review made me take a second look at them both. Being someone who had actually tried both at the same time, you really think that the 1000 is actually better than the 'S'?

I'm really interested in the case, but after readinf through the blog I am really interested in hackintosh build. I have not started looking, but I am very interested in building out a virtualized machine running parallels with Mac & Windows 7. Can you give me a little advise on where to start looking for good info, and specs on your build?

Thx,
Warren

I’m in the process of specing a new build, and have been looking up a lot of opinions on these 2 cases. I was already leaning toward the 1000, but after reading your comments I’m now 100% sure that the 1000 is the way to go.

Thanks.

Regards

Ray,

The 1000 is still performing strong constantly. I have had 0% issues with it. It is the best case out there so far, nothing comes close to beating it. Buy it, you won't regret it.
